Supposed to be working on my NaNoWriMo for the year.  I want to be hopeful.  I really do.  Let's just see what things look like in December.

Had not actually heard about NaNoWriMo before. Seems very fun idea. Hope to read the results in December! :D

I started it a few years back when a friend told me about it.  My local group is really awesome, though I fear I am always disappointing them. v_v

It is a hard task to pull off a novel in that time. All my previous written works have taken years to make. (The current one is still stuck in wip mode XD)

It’s great to have local writing friends. Sharing stuff with them and talking about possible plotline can really inspire and help one to improve. (Had also one in here when I was younger. Did small improvised writing exercises once per week.)

It's ok to produce something bad too. Sometimes deliberately writing something horribly bad is really fun and good exercise. :D

Well, I say that they are local but it is still an hour drive! XD  They are great people though.  We don't really share much of what we are working on, but more general moral support and things like that.

Haha, yeah...I should try doing something utterly wretched sometime. XD  It would probably be good for me.

General moral support is very important too.

Yes. :'D
It can be really fun too. We once had to write a short exercise with bad-romance-novel style with all the glishès we could think of. The end results where hilarious. XD

Oh man, bad-romance is a goldmine of hilarity.  I sometimes troll through that section of the bookstore and just look at covers for the giggles.

Ooh they are. :'D The descriptions and dialogue is pretty funny too.
Our group teacher sometimes suggested reading the first chapters or first pages of a book before buying or borrowing it from a library. Gives you impression what the book is actually going to be like + you can learn a lot from it. Writers usually put extra effort on the beginning and the end. XD
